Description: | This four-year program gives you the most comprehensive training possible to prepare you for an exciting career in nursing. You will learn in a world-class clinical setting using the latest technology, including cutting-edge patient simulation. Hands-on training begins in your first semester, and you will have the opportunity to complete several clinical placements throughout your degree. With the Collaborative program, you can choose to complete your degree on North Campus, or at one of our partner institutions: Red Deer College, Keyano College, or Grande Prairie Regional College. After your second year, you can apply to enter the BScN Honors Program, which is competitive and requires additional coursework. We also offer a BScN bilingual program, a BScN After-Degree, a BScN Honors After-Degree, and an RPN-to-BScN program.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree is your pathway to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), which opens doors to a variety of careers in nursing and beyond. The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta is recognized as one of the top nursing schools in Canada — we are leaders in research and in practice, with many unique clinical placements available. The faculty is housed in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, a state-of-the-art health sciences teaching facility adjacent to the University of Alberta Hospital. |
